So what are the resent builds every guilds running?
From my experiance most of the top guilds are all running different kinds of spikes, air, earth, ranger, necro. And mass hex builds.

all sorts. Balanced, highly offensive, defensive...
I notice some overrated guilds are using ranger spikes or mind shock spike. Love it when they make excuses after pwning them (rank 9+ guild loses to rank 3+, bitch)

My guild runs bloodspike, using Shadow Strike and Vampiric Gaze to spike, with monk elites and heal/prot skills on N/Mo's. It's difficult to play without good players, as each person must both participate in the spike and cover monk duties, but it's quite effective.

actually we got mixed results, but the longer the match lasted the more certain it was we would loose, as we didnt have enough offence to sustain a longer battle and our defence would cave in due to the on running offence of the other team

Yeah, we got owned by a really nice ranger spike with all r/mes running hex breaker and drain enchant. I was prot monk, so all the anti-enchant rendered me useless.
They also had 2 monks and 1 me/n doing oov and corpse-denial.

I haven't played in a few das but the most common builds have already been stated.
From what I can see, only the people who know how to play IWAY are still using it. The ones that spammed American Dis 1 for O so many months are now, appearently, going off to do something else, possibly terrible balanced pugs.
Necro Blood Spike is ascending in popularity, but I've only actually lost to it once, I think. Not that great.
Ranger Spike is as popular as ever.
So many balanced groups, not many good ones.
Mindwrack spike is annoying and picking up alot of popularity.
Minion Mass/Factory made a bit of a come back, but isn't very good against anything but IWAY from what I've seen .
Smurfhunter's EoE bomb was pretty popular when I was playing. It was always funny those first few encounters with it. We would be like "ah.. Another balanced heal-ball pug.." and then all of a suden.. Boom! Everyone is dead! That was funny
Other than that, I don't really know. Things change pretty fast over a week.

Rus Corp and Black Joker Company are both using air spike in GvG - an identical build in fact. I noticed last night that a couple of the BJC guys had Rus Corp tags which might explain that....
So if you thought air spiking was dead, think again as both of these guilds run it just as effectively as it ever was.

as far as i know, rus corp never stopped using air spike.
if anyone has perfected it, it has to be them.

perhaps not, but it seems more alive than it has done for a while
interesting couple of variations that we came across in GvG last night.
First of all there was the new guild 'SnK', Special Needs kids or something like that. Never heard of them? You will I understand they are made up out of various former members of top guilds and they had someone from WIMP playing for them. Last time I checked they were 12-0, but we were unlucky enough to come up against them when they were only 1038. This was quite possibly the most potent air spike I have ever seen It revolved around mind shock and orb from what I could figure out during our very brief battle with them. Insta-death, thats for sure, no tells either, really neat and quick target switching.
Then we figured we were owed an easy one after dropping 20 points like that, so we go in again and face of all Guilds prav. They were running a similar sort of concept it seemed, based once again around mind shock and orb only this time with the addition of phantom pain and shatter delusions, and we think something from the blood necro skills. This wasnt as effective as the Snk spike because the phantom pain gave us a tell and a chance to prot the target about half the time, I guess their co-ordination was a little off sometimes, as the other half the time we couldnt get the prot on in time. Still too good for us though, and even though we took down a few early in the battle they soon had us so heavily Dp'd that they could effectively wand us to death.
So it looks like Mind Shock ftw at the moment.
We might have lost 26 points and about 150 places, but you cant buy that sort of experience IMO

It's kind of odd how some of you assumed he meant Tombs, I thought he meant GvG.
In GvG the metagame is currently spike, mostly mixed from the top guilds, and ranger spike or ob flame spike from the lower guilds.
